[About donations]

Director Kaori Ishii has been calling for charity screenings all over the country, and there have already been inquiries for the next two to three months.

We believe that being able to help each other in times of need is a great, kind force that can encourage those in the disaster-stricken areas. Art Party Tokyo wanted to help ensure that this charity would not just be a one-off, but would be something that could continue on.

Director Kaori Ishii stepped up, saying, "This is a charity, so everything is free." In addition to providing the film screening rights free of charge, she also plans to attend the actual screenings on the 11th and 14th in person.

Director Ishii currently works as a therapist. We have determined that it will be difficult to continue supporting him completely free of charge if he plans to attend screenings held all over Japan in the future, and have discussed with him whether we can continue to support him by charging for his talk. We have proposed to pay him 30,000 yen for a three-hour event (including communication beforehand and setting up the venue on the day) as an event appearance fee for Art Party Tokyo.

Director Ishii agonized over the matter, but eventually agreed to accept half the amount, 15,000 yen.

Therefore, we would like to ask for your understanding and donations as detailed below.

Of the donations received, 15,000 yen will be given to Director Kaori Ishii as a charity activity fee for the three-hour event. 10,000 yen of that will be deducted from your participation fee. The remaining 5,000 yen will be covered by our office.

The director has offered to provide the DVD for free rental without a talk by the director. This event aims to continue to support the reconstruction of the disaster-stricken areas and to pass on the culture of Noto. We would appreciate your understanding.

From Director Kaori Ishii: (Excerpt)

This is a support desk for citizen groups set up by someone who has been working on local revitalization activities in Nanao City, located in the center of the Noto Peninsula, for nearly 30 years. We trust this organization because they have been supporting us since the film's production stage.
